Wadō-Chi Martial Arts in Wyoming USA

"Ken Shin Ichi Nyo" Body and mind as one...........

I teach several forms of martial arts I have practiced over the last 40 years.

  • My T'ai Chi Chuan is based on Yang style, with Qigong exercises, to expand breathing. We also practice the Luohan Qigong 13 forms. I focus on the martial application to assist with the student's understanding of the forms. This is ideally suited to older students to to develop awareness, flexibility, balance and coordination but should not be dismissed by younger students.

  • My Karate-do is traditional Japanese Karate based upon Shotokan and Wadō Ryū styles together with hard style Qigong.  Qigong is the breath control essential in karate. I focus on precision of technique and style and fundamental karate principles established by Gichin Funakoshi, Hironori Otsuka and other early masters. I do not encourage "free fighting" until experience of the kata's, techniques and applications have become natural to the student. This is ideal for students from the age of 18 years and up who wish to explore the traditional martial arts of Japan and the spirit of Budo.
